Terms of use

About these terms
These terms cover the Pet Papers app and the share link pages at petpapers.cloud. Pet Papers is made by DosSantos Systems LLC, 488 Pleasant St, Unit 1A, New Bedford, MA 02740, United States (“we,” “us”). Our company terms apply to everything we publish, including Pet Papers. These terms add to them for Pet Papers, and where the two differ about Pet Papers, these terms govern. How we handle information is in the privacy policy. By using the app or opening a Pet Papers link, you agree to these terms.
Your license
When you buy Pet Papers, Apple licenses the app to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these terms add to it. You may use the app on the Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store allows. You own your records. We don’t claim any rights to what you add.
This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Pet Papers or its support, and has no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price if Pet Papers fails to meet an applicable warranty. We, not Apple, handle any claim about Pet Papers, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims. You confirm you aren’t in a country under a US embargo and aren’t on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Not veterinary advice
Pet Papers helps you keep records and reminders. It doesn’t give medical advice, and it isn’t a substitute for your veterinarian. Due dates, reminders and statuses like “Current” or “Overdue” are calculated from the dates you enter and common schedules, and may not match what your pet needs or what a business requires. Ask your veterinarian about your pet’s care, and ask a kennel, groomer or other business what they accept as proof.
Your records
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the records you keep and share. Pet Papers can read dates and vaccine names from documents automatically, and it can make mistakes. Review what it finds before you save it, and before you share it with anyone.
Sharing links and PDFs
- You decide who gets a link. Anyone with the full link can view what it includes until you turn it off, so send it only to people you mean to share with.
- You can turn off a link at any time in the app. It stops working as soon as your device is online, usually right away.
- A PDF you send is a separate file. Turning off a link doesn’t recall a PDF.
- Only share records and documents that you have the right to share.
petpapers.cloud
We run petpapers.cloud so shared links work, and we try to keep it available. It may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for example during maintenance, and we may limit requests to protect the service. We may change the service over time. If we ever have to shut it down, we’ll give as much notice as we reasonably can, and your records in the app won’t be affected.
Please don’t misuse the service. That includes trying to access links that weren’t shared with you, interfering with or overloading the server, or using links to distribute anything unlawful.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, Pet Papers and petpapers.cloud are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the app or the service will be error-free or always available. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DosSantos Systems LLC and its members, officers and contractors won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising out of or relating to Pet Papers or petpapers.cloud, however caused, even if told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims about Pet Papers won’t exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app and fifty US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or consumer rights that can’t be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in Bristol County, Massachusetts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them where you live. Before starting a formal proceeding, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Using Pet Papers after a change means you accept the new terms.
